Are you a digital learner? Do you learn through a variety of texts? This course will enhance the English Language learners’ skills in writing through exposure to and creation of a variety of media (print, video, audio and audio-visual). Students will work individually and collaboratively to develop written communication skills using the writing process and the conventions of language. A variety of descriptive, expository, narrative and persuasive written and oral pieces will be produced by students in a variety of forms to demonstrate their critical thinking skills and their understanding of writing for a range of purposes and situations. Students will recognize how language constructs personal, social and cultural understanding.
