Intercultural ELL 11 has been developed to support and encourage ELL students to explore and compare their native country to the richness and diversity of Canada. Students will become more aware of Canadian culture and better understand why Canada is a multicultural nation. Using a variety of resources, documents, media, etc. students will compare the historical, geographical, political and cultural aspects of their native country to that of Canada and its society. Through these comparative analyses, ELL students will focus on building an advanced level of reading comprehension, composition skills, and listening and speaking skills.
