This social studies course offers our French Immersion students the opportunity to explore in-depth the following big ideas in human geography, social justice and contemporary Indigenous Studies:

  • Physical features and natural resources influence demographic patterns and population distribution.
  • Indigenous peoples are reclaiming mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being despite the continuing effects of colonialism.
  • Social justice initiatives can transform individuals and systems.

Students have the opportunity to explore their interests and strengths in an inquiry and project-based learning environment. This course is a part of our French Immersion program and is a requirement for the successful completion of this program.
